Facebook.com/AMAsThe 40th anniversary edition of the American Music Awards will air Sunday, November 18 on ABC, live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE.  In addition to featuring performances by music's biggest stars, the show will also celebrate 40 years of AMA history with a roundup of memorable moments.

For the sixth year in a row, fans will determine the AMA winners by voting at AMA.ABC.com.  Prizes will be awarded in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin and Contemporary Inspirational.

Nominations for the AMAs will be announced October 9 in L.A.
